Neotel Academy riders join forces with professional team

NEOTEL ACADEMY riders from Paarl, Avery Arendse, Reginald Benjamin and Brandon Christians, were recently invited to be part of the Neotel Professional Team to participate in the Pedal Power Double Century team event in Swellendam. The event was over a distance of 205km. It was a great experience for these young and upcoming riders to ride alongside the seasoned professionals in one team. With the Neotel structure, upcoming youngsters are developed and opportunities are created to give them a chance to gain valuable experience that will assist them in their future cycling careers. The team clocked the third fastest time and finished in 5 hours 47 minutes and 2 seconds. The event was won by the Cape Town team of Daikin-GU in 5:29:57. Second was the team of Anderson Transport (Wellington) in a time of 5:31:29.
