Santé wins top award

THE Santé Winelands Hotel & Wellness Centre was voted Destination Spa 2005 in the prestigious Les Nouvelles Esthetiques awards which took place in Johannesburg on 17 July.
Santé Winelands opened less than two years ago and was one of several top calibre spas to compete in this coveted category.
The award was accepted by Sant‚ Leisure MD, Andrew Tucker, who said: 'It is an honour to be the inaugural recipient of this prestigious, and importantly, independently judged industry award.
"I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of the team at Santé. The Santé Wellness Centre continually strives to offer a world class experience and to remain at the epicentre of worldwide trends, allowing us to offer the finest spa facilities and treatments to our visitors. Receiving this award will further inspire us to do so."
Santé counts among its accolades being voted one of the '16 Best Spas on Earth' by UK Elle magazine (May 2004) and was named Cond‚ Nast Traveller Italy Hot List Top Spa Resort (October 2004). It was the only spa on the African continent to receive these prestigious accolades.
Santé Winelands was included in the USA hardcover book 'World's Most Fabulous Spas' by Taschen publishers. in the USA. earlier this year is regarded as another major international endorsement.
