AFTER a sell out run over the Easter school holidays, The Lilliput Children’s Theatre Company returns to the Baxter Theatre with The Ugly Duckling and Other Stories.

This show is back by popular demand for two weeks until Tuesday 20 January at 10:30 (Monday to Saturday) and the show will be staged in the Concert Hall at the Baxter Theatre.

“The Ugly Duckling and Other Stories” - The Ugly Duckling, The Kings New Clothes and The Princess and the Swineherd, are three magical stories by the Danish ‘weaver of dreams’, Hans Christian Anderson.

Filled with colourful characters, this stage adaptation sticks closely to the original fairytales and is fairytale classics for the whole family.

All three stories have wonderful lessons to be learnt: Don’t be judgmental (Ugly Duckling) – an ugly duckling can turn into a beautiful swan, don’t be greedy (Princess and the Swineherd) and don’t be foolish (The Kings New Clothes).

This enchanting fairytale was adapted and directed by Elton John Duffy, who has been working at the Baxter since 1993.

This production stars Bronwyn Reddy, Nikki Louw, Tanya Van Tonder and Elton John Duffy. The choreography is by Nikki Louw. The duration of the show is 45 minutes and is suitable for children aged 2-11.

Tickets are R32 per person and bookings for The Ugly Duckling and Other Stories, can be made at Computicket, or online at www.computicket.com.

For block bookings or queries, call Elton on 083-364- 8284 or 021-558-2650 or call the Baxter Theatre on 021- 685-7880.
