Murderers still at large

THE trail to find the murderers of an elderly woman who was shot in cold blood in November last year, has run cold. Nothobile Bolothi (79) was home with her three daughters in Abrahams Street, Greenfields, when two youngsters burst into the house. According to Bolothi’s children, the young men demanded money and when she refused to hand her cash over to them, one of them pointed a gun at her and fired two shots. Bolothi was struck in the chest and hand and died on the scene. The youngsters fled and no arrests have yet been made. Anybody with information in connection with the murder can contact insp Cliffie Walters at 021-877-5913. * Two other murders of elderly people have also not yet been solved. Police are still investigating the murders of Fred Abrahams in his Klein Drakenstein Road home in November last year, and that of Arlene van der Walt in Main Street, Paarl, shortly before Christmas. Van der Walt was found up tied and gagged in her house. Anybody with information that can assist these investigations, can contact their nearest police stations.
