HOLLYWOOD ROCKS comes to town and there will be no dull moment. This Barn- yard show, directed by award- winning director, Ian von Memerty, is the hottest new ticket on the theatre circuit and Paarlites will have the opportunity to see this show on 8 February at 18:00 at the Grand Roche Hotel amphitheatre. The proceeds go to Drakenstein Hospice.

There is nothing better for someone who is a fan of the movies and music, than to experience Hollywood Rocks.

Featuring a talented cast of ten, the show takes a time trip through the most popular rock and pop tunes featured in movies during the last decades.

Hollywood Rocks covers a wide range of music starting in the fifties with songs like “Jailhouse Rock” from the movie with the same title, to the sixties with songs like “America” from West Side Story and “Born to be Wild” from the classic Easy Rider.

In the seventies we get dancing to “Staying Alive” from Saturday Night Fever to the sultry sounds of Barbara Streisand with “Evergreen” the theme song from a Star is Born.

In the eighties Hollywood rocks to everything from “Footloose” to “I had the time of my life” from Dirty Dancing to “Let the river run” from Working Girl.

In the nineties we have the theme tune from “Beauty and the Beast” and “You’re sexy thing” from The Full Monty. In the new century we rock with Aerosmith’s “I don’t want to miss a thing” from the movie Armageddon and “Lady Marmalade” from Moulin Rouge.

Hollywood Rocks is a show of diversity and style and never has a dull moment. Tickets are R250 per person. For further information, contact Drakenstein Hospice at 021-872-4060.
