THE South African Wine course, previously known as Introduction to South African Wine, will soon be presented at the Backsberg wine estate in Paarl by the Cape Wine Academy.

Those interested can register for the one day course which will be held on 26 March.

The South African Wine Course is a level 1 course and is known as the essential introductory course. Topics encompass the history of wine in South Africa, viticulture and winemaking and lectures incorporate tutored wine tastings.

The cost is R950 per person per day which includes lunch and tea.

Theses courses include a Level 1 Front of House course, Level 2 Certificate wine course, Level 3 Diploma, Introduction to South African Brandy, and Corporate Tastings and Functions.
