Larrie wins writing competition

THE Oxford University Press ran a national essay writing competition, the Oxford Award, and invited entries from Grade 11 and 12 learners. Learners were given various topics to choose from. Anri Kriel of La Rochelle Girls’ High School in Paarl won the first prize in the Grade 12 category with her essay on the topic “Cash, cars and cellphones”. Her prizes included a laptop computer, iPod, digital camera, clothing and book vouchers and a R5000 cash prize.
