BOLAND ATHLETICS and Boland High Schools Athletics will soon join forces to organise a Boland Athletics and Boland High Schools Central Regions Track and Field Championships on the same day, on the same athletics track.

The joint championships will take place at Coetzenburg Stadium on 21 February.

The two championship events will serve as qualifiers for the 2009 SA Yellow Pages Senior Track and Field Championships and the 2009 Boland Junior and High Schools Track and Field Championships respectively.

The Boland senior athletes will, after the combined Boland Athletics and Boland High Schools (Central Regions) Championships, still be able to qualify for the 2009 SA Yellow Pages Senior Championships until Saturday 28 February.

The 2009 Boland High Schools (Central Regions) Championships will be one of six other regional high schools championships that will take place in preparation for the 2009 Boland Junior and High Schools Track and Field Championships.

The other High Schools Regional Championships will take place in Malmesbury, Ceres, Caledon, Vredendal and Worcester.
