THE music and lifestyle of the East European gypsies has inspired many composers to create some of their best works.
Amongst these are Brahms and Dvorák, who each composed a set of Gypsy Songs that will be sung by Minette du Toit-Pearce and Anina Wassermann at La Motte Estate, Franschhoek, on Saturday 21 February.
The piano duo Elna van der Merwe and Zorada Temmingh will also perform.
The concert starts at 19:00 and entrance is R110 per person. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of La Motte wine.
