THE Cape Argus Pick n Pay Mountain-bike Challenge takes place at the Boschendal Wine Estate on Sunday.

Preceding the iconic Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour, the Mountain-Bike Challenge offers a varied playing field for both seasoned bikers and brave newcomers.

Riders can choose one of four routes: the flat and shady 13km fun ride (geared towards families, children and beginners); the adventurous and popular 26km route; the tough and strenuous 35km challenge; or the 55km marathon for experienced and technically skilled riders.
