Tip-off leads to arrest

TWO high-flying crime operators of Mbekweni have been arrested, thanks to tip-offs from members of the public. Wanbile Tisana (27), who has been out on bail, once again came up against the law and was sought for theft, assault and attempted burglary. Last Friday police received information about Tisana’s whereabouts in Mbekweni and the police followed his trail. Another well-known wanted suspect, Phindile Sipula, (better known as Boy-Boy), was arrested for assault. Both suspects are regarded by the police as crime generators in the Mbekweni area, and can possibly be linked to various criminal activities. The acting station commissioner, Supt Cornelius Geldenhuys, thanked the community of Mbekweni for assisting in the fight against crime.
