I MUST agree with M Lombard about the state that Paarl is in. It is filthy and I am not only talking about the Arboretum only - the whole place is dirty.
I can ask the Municipality to clean up, but that will not solve the problem, as we, the citizens of Paarl, must stop messing and start cleaning up after ourselves.
Sweep the street in front of your house, if you see paper lying around pick it up, if you see somebody throwing rubbish around address him or her and insist that they pick it up.
If you look at the Paarl CBD (Lady Grey Street) after hours on a weekend- it is filthy. Why must the Municipality come and clean up after everyone?
People of Paarl - stop messing, this is your town and I am sure you want to leave it for the next generation.
