THE DA and its alliances regularly admonish the ANC not to politicise issues in Drakenstein Municipality. But they get political by doing things like walking out of council meetings, thus delaying service delivery.
The DA and their partners cannot handle the fact that the Drakenstein Municipality, under the governance of the ANC, received an unqualified (clean) audit from the Auditor-General.
He is concerned about issues mentioned in the audit report which have already been discussed in committee meetings (which he did not attend so he has no decent understanding of the issues involved).
The DA would rather not upgrade our roads and sewerage systems. Instead, they want to spend R1,5 million which was not budgeted for, on fruitless investigation of matters (they have not yet decided which).
The question now is, would the public want to replace the present council with people with such irresponsible behaviour?
