THE American wine publication, Wine Enthusiast, recently announced Paarl as a nominee in the category wine region of the year of their annual Wine Star Awards competition.

The competition, currently in its ninth year, is universally respected as the single most prestigious acknowledgment of excellence in the global wine and spirits industry.

It is generally referred to as the annual “Academy Awards of Wine”, with only five candidates in each of the eleven categories.
