Goldfish to bowl them over at Spier

SOUTH AFRICAN music phenomenon, Goldfish, has chosen the Spier amphitheatre outside Stellenbosch as the venue for their upcoming concerts from 19 to 21 March. The events promise to be an irresistible drawcard for the legions of fans of the iconic duo, described as one of the most exciting live electronic acts in the world. It is a chance for Goldfish followers to get up close and personal with the bands Dominic Peters and David Poole, who have gone global and achieved cult status. The main supporting act will be jacSharp, with DJs such as Low and X-Ray also playing in the garden bar adjacent to the Spier amphitheatre between Goldfish’s sets. With low-key beginnings as two jazz musos studying music at UCT, Goldfish has gone on to scoop major international kudos, playing to enthralled audiences around the world. They have opened for electronic masters such as Fatboy Slim, Faithless, Basement Jaxx and Stereo MCs and played alongside Macy Gray, Maroon 5, Will.I.Am. and Fedde le Grande. Goldfish was nominated for an MTV Africa Music award alongside Coldplay and Seether in the Best Alternative Category. They were voted No 1 live act in South Africa by 24.com and were invited to perform at the 46664 Nelson Mandela charity concert at Ellis Park.
