Jazz band performs at estate

ON Friday 27 March from 18:30, the jazz band Side Effect will perform at the Backsberg Estate Cellars. The Backsberg Jazz season will run until June, featuring a different band on the last Friday of every month. Side Effect is a four-piece band from Stellenbosch who like to mix it up a bit. They play with genres and blend styles, all the while remembering their jazz roots. Their style is best described as the meeting of lounge room jazz and unconventional wisdom. All of the musicians are widely experienced and well saturated in the South African music scene. Enjoy the show in the beautiful gardens of the estate and choose a table under the oak trees, or take a blanket to spread on the lawn. Relax and enjoy delicious Mediterranean platters and Backsberg wines. Tickets cost R125 per person and seasonal tickets will be available at a discounted rate (buy four tickets redeemable for any of the four out of six functions and get 10% off). Booking is essential.
