High schools’ track and field championships in Paarl

THE 2009 Western Cape High Schools’ Track and Field Championships will take place at the Dal Josaphat Stadium on 20 and 21 March. The Championships will serve as the final preparation for the 2009 SA Youth and Junior Championships that will take place from 27 to 28 March in Pretoria. “Although the Boland Team for the 2009 SA Youth and Junior Championships has been announced, the Boland selectors will be monitoring the performance of the youth and junior athletes during the championships for possible late inclusion into the team,” said Dr Harold Adams, president of Boland Athletics. More than 50 athletes who won medals at national level in 2008 will be in action in Paarl.
