Block of flats to be auctioned

2009-03-26

A BRAND new block of flats in Malherbe Street, Paarl, will be auctioned on 21 April at 12:00.

The project, Leilani Heights, went bust last year and the ground works around the building have still not been completed.

The project, launched by Mynhard van der Westhuizen and Shawn Dreyer of Mynhardville Properties, was delayed for about two years following objections by neighbours to the five-storey building, which was erected on the site of the demolished AGS Church.

A number of the 30 two-bedroom units were pre-sold two years ago for prices varying from R450 000 to about R520 000.

Mynhardville Properties was placed under liquidation in June after a motion brought by Sturdy Construction.

The property will be auctioned by the Alliance Group.
