THE Uruguayan guitarist Eduardo Fernandez will be performing at La Motte Estate outside Franschhoek on Saturday 28 March at 19:00.
Fernandez is internationally acknowledged as one of the world’s finest guitarists and has already recorded eighteen CD’s for Decca Records, part of the Universal Music Group, exclusively.
He has also done solo recordings plus recordings with ensembles such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
The highly regarded magazine, Gramophone, describes Fernandez as, “in all aspects, one of the very best players around”.
His programme includes works by JS Bach and Latin-American composers, as well as Ginastera’s popular Sonata.
The concert will be presented in the Estate’s historical cellar and guests will be warmly welcomed with a glass of La Motte wine. The entrance fee is R110 per person.
