THE Good Food & Wine Show at the Cape Town Convention Centre from 28 to 31 May will offer a variety of interactive events There will be world renowned foreign (including Ainsley Harriott) and local chefs conjuring up their signature dishes demonstrating their cooking skills. There will be a number of sizzling new categories like from the Garden to the Kitchen which will show you how to contribute to living on a safer planet. Workshops in this interactive arena will focus on sowing and planting, compost, harvesting, companion planting, and general useful information resulting in a fruitful seasonal crop. Recycling, re-using and reducing will be one of the features presented by experts. * The Beer Route: Beer cuisine is a new international phrase that gets tossed around at gourmet gatherings and this is your opportunity to learn more about it. Experience the nuances that distinguish beers in tastes and flavours. You will be blown away by the endless possibilities of beer and food pairing. Speciality beers brewed by micro-brewers will also be on offer. * The Great Wine Sale: An extension of the ever-popular Wine Walk, this dedicated area will showcase premium wines, available for tasting and purchase at great Show prices. Packages for winneries participating in this area are fully inclusive of all stand services and a complimentary porter service. * Hands on Cocktail Workshops: Get shaken and stirred as South Africa’s finest bartenders compete for a place in the National Classic Cocktail and Flair Championships to represent South Africa at the World Competition. * Super Foods For Kids - with an emphasis on healthy eating for kids, this interactive workshop area for children aged 3 to 12 years is family friendly with hands-on cooking demonstrations and fantastic lunch box ideas.
