ALMOST 5000 people applied for identity documents during last year’s community jamboree that was held on 3 September in Drakenstein. This programme, where members of the public could apply for identity and other documents, was facilitated and managed by the Municipality.

Drakenstein Municipality contributed R100 000 to the programme and received R400 000 from the Cape Winelands district municipality for this campaign which assisted residents with ID applications, birth certirficates, late birth registration and “no-trace” applications.
