THE Equal Opportunity Foundation (EOF) is a funding organisation working nationally and based in Cape Town. The organisation funds community based organisations that have non-profit organisation (NPO) status. EOF focuses on three main sectors: HIV/AIDS (Home Based Projects and Orphans and Vulnerable Children), Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Income Generating projects. Local charities may apply to be considered for funding. The organisations must have an NPO certificate, constitution, proof of land ownership/lease agreement, bank account, financial statement, minutes of three meetings, and three letters of support. Applications for support during the 2010/11 financial year must be submitted by 31 August.
