THE annual SA Cheese Festival will be held at Bien Donné farm between Paarl and Franschhoek from 24 to 27 April.
As expected, the main attraction at the Festival is cheese. Be on the lookout for interesting cheeses such as Barbeque Feta, a Yael (Hebrew for goat) that is aged in grape skins and pips, and Clairevaux’s red wine and many more.
Cheese has shown its prowess as starter, main and dessert.
Various celebrities and well-known chefs will also take part in the festival.
Tickets are available from Computicket (at Checkers stores) and have to be purchased before the start of the festival. No tickets will be sold at the gates.
Tickets are R85 (Friday or Monday) and R110 (Saturday or Sunday). Children 12 years and younger enter for free and senior citizens pay R65.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday the festival is from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Monday, 27 April from 10:00 to 17:00.
