*Koos Kombuis. DIE bekende sanger Koos Kombuis is vanaand en Vrydag by die Breytenbach-sentrum te sien waar hy in die Bôrdienghuis-teater sal optree om 20:00.
Kombuis skryf dat hy weer in Wellington wil optree omdat hy soos Breyten Breytenbach ook hier op skool was en dat dit daarom niks minder as reg is dat hy weer na sy ‘roots’ moet terugkeer nie! Tydens hierdie konsert sal Kombuis ’n keur van ou en nuwe liedjies uit sy musiekloopbaan sing, asook ’n paar splinternuwes wat nog nooit op CD opgeneem is nie. *Jazz. THIS month Backsberg Estate features Stellenbosch-based jazz band ESP Fusion in a concert in the cellar on Friday from 18:30. Comprising a pianist, bassist and drummer, this instrumental trio are all thoroughly immersed in the South African music scene. Influenced mainly by various Cape Ghoema, Funk and Latin styles, they combine these with their own unique sound to produce – as the name suggests – an eccentric mix which will leave you humming their tunes long after the show is over.
