THE police request that the public assist them in curbing theft of and out of motor vehicles in the Paarl area. Almost every weekend, vehicles are either broken into or stolen in the valley.

On Friday a Ford Laser was stolen outside a house in New Eskdale Street, De Zoete Inval, Paarl South. The vehicle was recovered on Monday in Gugulethu in the possession of an 18-year-old.

Vehicles must be kept behind locked gates, and should be fitted with an alarm or immobiliser.
