Trade show for wine and fruit
2009-05-07
THE 11th Intervitis Interfructa Southern Africa takes place from 28 to 30 July at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. This year it boasts an important international component, as well as the immensely popular South African Society for Viticulture and Oenology (SASEV) International symposium. Since 2007 this world leading technological trade show for wine, fruit, fruit juice and spirits has increased its international representation to such an extent that this year will for the first time see a German, French and Italian pavilion. This will provide European exhibitors with the chance to secure direct access to important markets of the future. For South Africans in these industries, these international areas offer excellent opportunities to view never before seen products, as well as direct contact with representatives with regards to potential new agencies locally. With almost 6 000 visitors over the three day extravaganza in 2008, this year will also be known for the 150 exhibitors showing off the latest in technology and services which offer a perfect marketing platform where individuals in the wine, fruit, fruit juice and spirits industries can personally communicate with a selected audience. For the visitor Intervitis Interfructa Sa offers the one opportunity every alternate year where they can meet suppliers of products and services under one roof, compare prices and exercise their bargaining power. Different aspects in the industry are highlighted at Intervitis Interfructa – cultivation techniques; harvesting and processing; oenology including cooling systems, pump and handling systems, filtration and wine treatment technology; packaging, as well as sales and marketing. With 20 years’ success as the previously known Wine Farmers and Fruit Growers Exhibition this show now called Intervitis Interfructa Southern Africa, this year’s exhibition includes the fourth International SASEV symposium – ‘Enology and Viticulture beyond 2010’.
