Webtexts and websites
2009-05-21
WEBSITES are an all-important communication medium for any institution or company. Therefore an effective website that answers to the needs of readers and clients is non-negotiable. From 8 to 12 June the Stellenbosch University Language Centre will be presenting a comprehensive workshop series on the design, development and maintenance of a website. They will aim to equip participants to play a meaningful role in all aspects of website design and management, by focusing on both the technical and the content aspects of a website. The workshop series consists of three separate sessions, forming a logical unit. Those interested can, however, also enter for the individual sessions. The sessions are Webtexts: Designing effective on-line communication (8 to 9 June); Graphic elements with Photoshop (10 June); Developing websites with Dreamweaver (11 to 12 June). The workshop series is aimed at beginners, but basic computer skills and familiarity with the Windows environment are required. Bookings close on 29 May.
