THE winners of the AA Travel Guides Accommodation Awards were recently announced at the Tourism Indaba in Durban. Among them were a number of local establishments.

The Akademie Street Guest Houses in Franschhoek won the award for best small bed & breakfast guest house.

Gold achievers included the Mont Rochelle Hotel and La Residence, also in Franschhoek.

Cascade Country Manor in Paarl was a semi-finalist in the category small country-style retreat.
