ON Friday 29 May, the Muirhead Trio will be heating things up with a funk and jazz mix at Backsberg Estate Cellars from 18:30.
The band is formed around well-known lead guitarist Bruce Muirhead, a well-oiled jazz muso, film music composer and teacher.
He has done various international performances, and more recently performed at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival.
The band enhances his undiluted jazz style – treading new and fresh territory as a collective ensemble.
Tickets cost R125 per person, which includes a tasty platter of snacks.
