THE life of a young police officer ended tragically, when she fell from a bridge, in front of an oncoming truck.

Constable Sue-Ann Koopman (24) of Paarl, who was stationed in Cape Town, fell from a bridge crossing the N1 in Paarl South on Saturday evening.

She fell in front of a truck and was killed instantly.

It has not been established whether she accidentally fell from the bridge, or jumped off it. The police are investigating a case of possible culpable homicide.
