Charity golf challenge
2005-08-18
A CHARITY Golf Challenge will be held at the Paarl golf club on 22 September in aid of the Bowie House which houses thirteen children under the age of seven orphaned by or affected by HIV/Aids.
Taking the form of a 4 Ball, teams will battle it out over the 18 holes during the day, all for this worthy cause. Ending off the day there will be a function at which various prizes will be handed over.
Named after a child who died after contracting the dreaded disease, Bowie House is dependent on donations. It is part of the Miqlat Project which was started as an upliftment network ten years ago.
The Boland SA Police Service under the leadership of Area Commissioner, Asst/Comm Ganief Daniels, has adopted this house and plans to help in making a difference in the lives of these children.
Companies, organisations and all who wish to be part of this event can enter at R1200 per team. Sponsorships and donations are also welcome.
Contact Capt John Waterhouse or Nathasha Nel at 807-4315 to enter.
