ON Friday 26 June from 18:30 Backsberg Wine Estate rounds off the jazz season with the Van Hunks Experience.
VHE is a group of experienced jazz veterans who produce an experimental lounge act with elements of electronica, with unique innovations by composer and trumpeter Adriaan Brand (of Springbok Nude Girls fame).
They have an original and surprising sound with operatic vocals or remixed choral and Mozart elements.
VHE performs with various guest artists, such as Inge Beckmann (of Lark fame) and the renowned jazz pianist Pierre-Henri Wicomb.
Expect a stylish and accessible performance, the likes of which you’ve never heard before.
As the evenings grow colder, relax and enjoy the Mediterranean platters and Backsberg wines against the backdrop of fine jazz music.
