Murder rate drop

DURING the past 60 days, Mbekweni has not suffered a single murder. Station Commander Cornelius Geldenhuys said that it seems as if residents have now become intolerant of crime, and are assisting the police in restoring law and order to the area. “In the past we have had up to seven murders a month, and it seemed as if the public had become used to this. “But this is definitely starting to change, and we would like to thank the public for their assistance in bringing crime down.”
