A PAARL family is in dire straits, because of the cost of caring for their four-year-old daugther with cerebral palsy.
Chleo Adams was born with an open brain and suffers from cerebral palsy.
She is unable to feed on her own and because she struggles to swallow, the mechanism that is currently used is not sufficient.
As a result she does not get a correct daily feeding allowance and is losing weight, making her susceptible to illnesses that will drastically shorten her lifespan.
She is desperately in need of a programmable internal feeding pump and other devices costing R25 000.
The family is desperately appealing to the community for help and Arise and Shine, an initiative for people with disability and friends of the family are currently busy with a range of fund-raisers in order to assist the family in improving Chleo’s situation.
