DON’T miss popular Afrikaans comedian-musician, Thys die Bosveldklong, when he performs at Golden Valley’s Winners Action Bar in Worcester on Saturday.
Thys hails from Bellville in the Cape where he grew up playing the drums and guitar, performing at local functions and dances with friends.
Not even the army could stop the music for Thys and soon he was a regular performer at army dances and functions.
Thys produced his first CD in 1997 and the success of the album launched his career. He has since gone on to produce many CD’s which have reached platinum status. Today, Thys is known for his Kyknet television programme Net virrie Grap, in which he exercises his other talent as a comedian.
His music is easy to listen and dance to and his stage performances are packed with humour.
