A SPECIAL fund in support of the Zimbabwe Commercial Farmers’ Union has been established by the Boland Cameraderie. The fund will be managed by Agri SA in a South African Absa account
Gerrit van Rensburg, Western Cape Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, recently attended the annual Boland Cameraderie Angus Auction in Stellenbosch, where this announcement was made.
Hendrik Olivier said that the Zimbabwean Commercial Farmers Union had 4500 members in 2000. There are currently only 500.
“It is vital for the sake of our country that a moratorium be placed on land grabs, and that a land audit be conducted,” he said.
