New retirement village

New retirement village

2009-07-02

THE farm Honeydew, situated on the bank of the Berg River in Paarl North, has been granted permission for redevelopment into a retirement village.

Site clearing has started in preparation for the initial 420 units to be built.

The developers have decided that due to the prominent site, with spectacular mountain views, a particularly high standard of buildings with exceptional facilities will be made available to the public.

Single bedroom apartments will be priced from R785 000 to spacious three bedroomed houses of R2 400 000.

Care assisted and frail care units will also be available.

Comprehensive recreational and medical facilities, including landscaped gardens, will round off a truly unique and much needed retirement facility in Paarl.

For further information, contact Boland Landmark, sole Paarl agents for the project.

* The project makes it possible for Berg River Boulevard to be extended from Optenhorst Street to School Street, once funding becomes available from the provincial government.
