THE House of Golden Kaan, a joint venture between KWV of South Africa and Racke of Germany, which opened in Robertson in September, has been a decisive brand builder in the local market for the Golden Kaan brand, in the nine months since its inception.

The brand was first launched in international markets in 2003 - and in South Africa in 2005.

It has enjoyed meteoric growth overseas, especially in Germany and the USA, where it has been the category opener for South African wines.

To date, more than 1,6 million cases of Golden Kaan wine have been sold in more than 30 markets.

Golden Kaan House in Robertson serves as a visitors’ centre and wine house, as well as an exclusive tourist destination offering wine tasting, a South African art and lifestyle experience, high quality accessories for purchase and outstanding conference and private function facilities.

To date, approximately 3 000 visitors have passed over its threshold.
