Project of 1000 houses planned
2009-07-23
A PUBLIC participation process has been launched regarding the proposed sub-development of nearly 40 hectares of land to the north of Groenheuwel in Dal Josaphat, Paarl. The proposed layout is mainly based on the current market need, with the aim to provide a range of residential options of affordable high quality units for individuals desiring to live in a secure environment. The draft scoping report to asses the environmental impact assessment of subdivision of the property for the erection of more than 1000 houses can be viewed at Groenheuwel library or on the website of environmental consultant Doug Jeffery (www.dougjeff.co.za). An open house public meeting to discuss the plans will be held at the Dalweide Primary School Hall in Symphony Avenue from 16:00 to 19:00 on Thursday 6 August. Please note that in order to be registered as an Interested Party, you must either attend the Open House Meeting, provide written comments on the proposal or request that your name be added to the list. To register , send your name and contact details to Jenna Theron at Doug Jeffery Environmental Consultants, PO Box 44, Klapmuts, 7625, or fax 021 875 5515 or jenna@dougjeff.co.za.
