THE Winelands Orchestra (WLO) is an initiative of professional and experienced musicians that have agreed to form an orchestra performing a wide range of music including chamber works as well as larger pieces that require a full symphony orchestra.
Plans include performances in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town as well as Stellenbosch, Paarl and the Boland.
The inaugural concert is on 2 August at 20:00 at the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre in Parow. The programme is all Mozart and includes Divertimento k. 136, Violin Concerto no. 4 in D Major and the Symphony no. 29 K. 201.
