A YOUTH Concerto Festival will be held on Friday at 20:00 in the Endler Hall in Stellenbosch.
The young soloists represent the cream of Stellenbosch’s music students, all of whom displayed exceptional promise in a competitive audition process earlier this year. The Glazinov Saxophone Concerto will be played by Liam Burden after which Garreth Cederes will perform the Allegro from Mozart’s D Major Flute Concerto.
The concert will finish with Liszt’s powerful second piano concerto as played by Pieter Crathorne. All will be accompanied by the Stellenbosch University Symphony Orchestra conducted by Prof Corvin Matei.
