* High tea. St Augustine’s Catholic Church is hosting a high tea on Sunday at 15:00 at the Annunciation Hall, Paarl, with guest speaker Bruce Walsh, a double amputee after the Planet Hollywood Restaurant bomb blast of 1998. * Dans. Die Wellington Daghospitaal in samewerking met die gesondheidkomitee hou op 18 September om 19:00 ’n Lentedans in die Wellington Stadsaal teen R40. Die Unity Brass Band sal die gaste vermaak. Kom dans saam!
* Jazz. The Paarl Jazz Foundation is hosting a jazz session on Saturday from 14:00 at the Mona Lisa Garden next to Nodlayiya Tavern. Ezra Ngcukana, Zolani Bongo and other artists and local dancers will entertain the guests. Entrance is free and refreshments will be sold.
* Sport Stars. A dinner with well-known SA cricketers Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn will be held at the Bridge House Theatre tonight at 19:00. Come and enjoy a winter meal and a relaxed evening with a quiz and questions. Tickets cost R180 per ticket (R1 800 per table) and a cash bar will be available. Tickets are available from Ninette Havenga at 021-874-8401. Proceeds are in aid of the Bridge House Sports Trust Fund.
