DENNEGEUR, in collaboration with Bright Idea Projects 1668 CC, hosted the Dennegeur Youth Sports Camp at Bergkroon, Wellington, from 17 July till 19 July.
The camp was initiated to utilise sports as a medium to convey social development for the youth inhabiting the community of Dennegeur in Franschhoek.

The youth camp was an incentive for the children during the July holidays to stay active in sports. Bright Idea Projects 1668 cc facilitated the camp as a program to consolidate sports and social well-being among the various youth present.

The camp included workshops regarding life skills, team building and character building through puzzle hunts, word encryptions, tutoring, sports specific coaching and group dynamics training.

The theme for the camp related to the abusive factors that the youth faces on a daily basis including verbal, physical, sexual, emotional, and domestic abuse.

The aim was to encourage sports participation among the youth, while developing.
