* Five. An art exhibition by Lyn Smuts, Christina Bryer, Philip Willem Badenhorst, Leon Vermeulen and Katherine Glenday will be on display from 5 September until 26 September at the Red Black and White gallery in Stellenbosch.
* Katvoet. Katvoet, word gevier op Donderdag 10 September om 19:00 by die Breytenbach-sentrum op Wellington. Vir besprekings, kontak 021-873-2786.
* Demonstrasie. Op Saterdag 5 September vanaf 09:00 tot 12:00 gaan die Paarlse kunstenares Nanette Ranger ’n demonstrasie en praatjie gee oor die vorming van ’n menslike kop uit klei en die maak van ’n gipsvorm. Ranger se beelde van mens- en dierfigure word op ’n permanente basis by die Dwars-in-die-Weg-gebou, Paarl, uitgestal. Kostes is R30 vir lede (R50 vir nie-lede). * Octoberfest. Wilderer’s Distillery’s October Fest will be held on Sunday 6 September from 11:00 till late. There will be Paulaner Weissbier on tap, Weisswurst, Brezel and Sweet Mustard, Kassler, Bratwurst, Rostbratwurstl, Sauerkraut, Eisbein and lots of Schnaps! There will also be live music by “Die Wurstzipfel”. Entry is R40 at the door. To book, call 021-863-3555.
* Open Mike. Almal word uitgenooi na die Open Mike-aand op 14 September om 20:00 by die Breytenbach-sentrum, waar alle kunstenaars welkom is om hulle liedjies, kitare, gedigte en vriende te bring en tot laatnag op die verhoog saam te ‘jam’. As jy wil deelneem, kontak Morné Meyer by 072-229-7423.
* Choir. Pro Cantu Youth Choir, International Champion and twice ‘Cum Laude’ winner of the National Animato Choir Competition, invites all enthusiastic choristers to apply for an audition for the 2010 year, to be held on 12 or 19 September.
