THE Biographical Dictionary (“Who’s who: 140 years 1868-2008”) of Paarl Boys’ High School is nearing its final stages.
Research was undertaken during the past three years in order to compile a comprehensive insight into the lives of past and present students, matriculants, teachers and persons who have had close ties with the school, including donors.
In order to make the book as comprehensive and as interesting as possible, the school will be including anecdotes, statistics, photographs and other data. Some of the stories are funny, others heart-rending, but always most interesting.
They are now in the process of finalising the publication, including updating information and soliciting advertisers, sponsors and donors who would like to make a contribution.
The school hopes to raise enough money to publish approximately 2 000 copies of this commemorative, historical and prestigious glossy publication.
This is the last chance for Old Boys and teachers to ensure that their information is included, updated and correct.
The deadline for information and orders is 31 October. Should you wish to submit your information or order a book, contact the librarian, Babsie Truter on 021-872-2875 or 082-890-7371, or fax 021-872-5246 or send an e-mail to library@paarlboyshigh.org.za.
