Departments on the move

THREE departments of the Drakenstein Municipality will move to new offices during October. The Departments of Engineering Services, Building Control (Building Plans) & Planning Services relocate from the Paarl Civic Centre to their new offices on the corner of Market and Main Street (the former SentraSure building). Contact numbers for the respective departments remain in operation for any related complaints and enquries: Civil Engineering Services: 021-807-4715, Planning Services: 021-807-4802/3 and Building Control 021-807-4820/3. The Civil Engineering Services will relocate from 16 to 19 October and Planning Services from 23 to 26 October. May Carolissen, spokesperson of the municipality, said that negotiations with the provincial government on the relocation of the Paarl library to this building, are still in process. No indication was given on when the library will be relocated. Visitors to these offices can make use of parking in Market Street.
