ON Saturday afternoon, with 35C degree heat, children from the area sought refuge in the cool waters of the Berg River near Mbekweni.
But when they reached the shore again, one of them, Ivile Meiring (15), was nowhere to be seen. The children searched the banks, but there was no sign of their friend, whom they called Chocolate.
