I NOTED with concern that a black business forum has been founded in Paarl, but it is certainly not representative. It seems as if it is a forum for the municipality and its favourites.
Why is there no-one from Mbekweni on the steering committee? Why was the Mbekweni business forum not invited to this founding meeting?
There is a racial division here, and all the members appear to be from one political party. What is going on?
Is this just another form of political domination in which the available resources are channelled to those with the right contacts?
