AFRICAN Alpacas have been invited to exhibit their valuable animals at the ‘From the Earth’ Expo at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 16 to 18 October.

Wellington is the home of this leading alpaca stud and it is an honour for the area to be represented at one of the largest expos in the country. The expo covers all aspects of agriculture.

Those wanting to learn more about the alpaca might consider attending the next seminar at Inca Vale Farm: “Introduction to Alpaca Husbandry and Health” on 31 October at 08:30.

The full day course includes new audiovisual material from the UK and Australia; covers health and care of a sick alpaca; hands on treatments and animal husbandry; there will be presentations by Afrivet and the nutritionist from Equifeeds; and discussion time with a local vet.

Tickets cost R350 per person and R500 per couple, including lunch and printed notes. Contact Gavin on 082-340-2650.

Alpacas will also be at the Bien Donné Agricultural expo from 5 till 8 November.
