THE Rusthof Old Age Home in Paarl is at risk, as the wire fence at the rear of the home is continually damaged by vandals.
The risk exists that anyone may gain unauthorised access via the opening in the fence, threatening the safety of residents and property.
The safety of the residents is of prime importance to the board and management of the institution.
The wire fence is not a deterrent, as it gets cut on a frequent basis.
Consequently the building of a boundary wall is envisaged. Limited financial means however, pose a challenge.
The management of Rusthof therefore appeals to any builders, both employed and unemployed, in the community who wish to assist in making the erection of a boundary wall possible, to contact us.
A “day wage” will be paid for services.
This is an urgent call to those who wish to make a difference, to contact me on 021-862-2238.
